John Zerr is a patent professional with over 15 years of experience in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications across a wide variety of mechanically related fields and industries. John is also highly experienced in the preparation and prosecution of design patent applications. John’s prosecution experience in both utility patents and designs covers the United States and many different foreign countries and jurisdictions. 

Prior to joining Shruti Law PLLC®, John was a partner at a prominent intellectual property firm in the Pittsburgh area. Prior to that, John served as a Patent Examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in Technology Center 3600, focusing on the examination of applications in the fields of agriculture and defense.
